Inspired by past and contemporary realists and modern hyperrealism, Ariko has been fascinated in art since her early childhood. Nowadays she specializes in painting realistic portraits and making sculptures of human figures in various scales (1: 6, 1: 8 etc.). The objective of her work is to capture reality as faithfully as possible. Her greatest source of inspiration is the nature of human body without any embellishments. She considers the diversity of human bodies with all their aspects, many of which are often considered undesirable by today's society (wrinkles, scars, birthmarks, freckles, underweight, overweight, etc.) as the ideal of beauty, because it is these details that make every human being unique and worthy of attention, "perfect" for her work.

Ariko likes to create paintings and sculptures based on photos but also on live models. Sometimes she even paints and sculpts fictional people - mainly characters from her novels and stories.

Paintings

Ariko's paintings are done on canvases of various sizes. Her preferred techniques include painting with acrylics, watercolor, charcoal drawing and even a pencil drawing. Each one of Ariko's paintings is a unique original.

Sculptures

Ariko's sculptures are hand-made from air-drying modeling clay, painted with acrylic paints. They are dressed in hand-sewn garments made of various materials (cotton, silk, satin, velvet, leather, etc.) and decorated with accessories made of metal, wood, plastic or beads. They are usually mounted on a wooden stand. Each sculpture is a unique work of art.
